A Little About WordCamp Fayetteville

WordCamp Fayetteville 2018 is the ninth annual event for the Northwest Arkansas WordCamp community to join together for a weekend of fun, education, and community. We welcome WordPress users from all over Arkansas and surrounding states (and farther!).

We’ve had a small but thriving WordCamp Fayetteville monthly meetup going in the past year and are excited to see that flourish even more in the coming year. We meet 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. every second Tuesday on the second floor of 1 East Plaza on the Fayetteville Square.

This year we focused on getting fresh ideas and being intentional about making WordCamp not only educational but a bit more fun, too. We are excited to welcome returning guests as well as those who may be new to WordCamp Fayetteville!

Each WordCamp has its own bit of flavor and WordCamp Fayetteville is no different. We extend southern hospitality blended with traditional WordCamp friendliness and helpfulness. We promise that you don’t have to Call the Hogs to get into the conference! This year’s theme is Carnival and you’re welcome to dress accordingly, but don’t feel pressure if that’s not your thing!

Not sure what WordCamp actually is? WordCamp is a real-life extension of the helpful WordPress online forums where WordPress users of all skill levels can make new friends and learn new ideas.

Volunteers organize WordCamps for their local communities all over the world. We design our events to be educational, affordable, and accessible for anyone who wants to join. We truly have sessions for people who think they want to start a blog but aren’t sure how, to the most experienced developers.

WordCamp Fayetteville features a full conference day and a “Jam Session” day where participants can help each other implement what they learned the day before. Don’t forget the welcome party that kicks everything off on Friday!
