Dave Navarro, Jr. is the lead web developer for the Topeka & Shawnee County Library and Director of Digital Media for Alpha Media Topeka Radio. In addition to plugin and theme development, he’s a social media expert.
We met Dave at WordCamp Kansas City (WordCamp is a great place to meet people!). He has joined us at WordCamp Fayetteville for several years now, sharing well-researched talks on a variety of topics.
This year, Dave is bringing us something a little more personal. “I’m in my 50’s now and I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 8,” he wrote. “My first business was a lemonade stand, but I ran my stand like a restaurant and made good money. Most importantly, I learned a LOT… And that’s been my story… learning from lots of mistakes, failures and successes.”
Dave wants to share with us his discovery of WordPress and how it resurrected his passion for being an entrepreneur and web developer. His presentation, “Never worked a day in my life,” will be the keynote presentation for WordCamp Fayetteville 2018.
